Client: Serenity Homes | Year: 2024 | Duration: 3 Months | Category: Real Estate | Live Website: serenityhomes.co.ke | Technologies: WordPress, Elementor, PHP, Figma
The Challenge
Serenity Homes manages a diverse portfolio of high-quality listings, but their original online experience failed to match the premium nature of their properties. Their previous website felt more like a “forgotten folder” than a gateway to a “future home,” resulting in low engagement and high bounce rates. They needed a digital platform that could handle complex property data while providing an emotional, visual experience that would convince high-value buyers to book a viewing. The primary goal was to bridge the gap between their offline expertise and their online presentation.
The Solution
We moved away from static imagery and built a clean, modern real estate platform focused on intuitive navigation and smart filtering. By utilizing WordPress and Elementor, I developed a custom property management system that allows users to find homes based on specific needs without the friction of a clunky interface. We prioritized a “Mobile-First” design philosophy, ensuring that busy professionals stuck in traffic could browse listings easily on their phones—a critical move given that over 70% of web traffic is now mobile. The UI was designed with “finger-friendly” buttons and fast-loading galleries to maintain interest even on flaky Wi-Fi.

The Results
The launch of the new platform resulted in an immediate shift in user behavior and lead quality. Visitor sessions increased by over 50%, showing that potential buyers were spending more time exploring the curated spaces. More importantly, direct site inquiries tripled, successfully converting passive browsers into active leads. The confusion that once plagued their old site was replaced by a smooth conversion funnel. Clients now frequently mention that seeing the house online was the primary reason they felt compelled to visit in person.
